The Forest Lake Airport Commission is composed of four citizens and one City Council member interested in the development and utilization of the Municipal Airport. Members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council. Current members include: Don Stehler, John Schmidt, Curtis Monson, Mark Lynch, and Councilmember Sam Husnik.
The Airport Commission meets the first Wednesday at 6:30 PM every other month beginning in January at the Forest Lake City Center.
Economic Development Authority
The Economic Development Authority (EDA) consists of a seven member board; present members include: Mara Bain, Judy Huntosh, Blake Roberts, Jennifer Lorge, Mark Finnemann, Sam Husnik and Leif Erickson; Mayor Mara Bain serves as EDA President. City Administrator, Patrick Casey, serves as the Executive Director.
The EDA meets the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 5:30 PM at the Forest Lake City Center.
Parks, Trails, and Lakes Commission
The Parks, Trails, and Lakes Commission meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 5:30 PM. This seven-member board serves staggered three-year terms and includes: Terri Steenblock, Chair, Tim Miller, Vice-Chair, Tim Garry, Bette Geyer, Karen Morehead, Doug Ramseth, and Jason Steenblock. The Forest Lake Planning Commission is comprised of seven members who are appointed by the Mayor and City Council for three-year terms. Duties of the Planning Commission include making recommendations to the City Council on the City's Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code; the Planning Commission also conducts public hearings on land use applications, including variances, conditional use permits, and concept plans.
