The City Council will be discussing the Request for Proposals (RFP) for Refuse and Recycling Services at its meeting this evening, July 8, 2019, starting at 7:00 p.m. The City of Forest Lake received three (3) responses to its RFP. Responses were received from the following refuse and recycling providers:
- Republic Services
- SRC, Inc.
- Walters Recycling and Refuse, Inc.
Please be advised that due to the classification of the data contained in the RFP responses as private or not public data by Minnesota Statutes, Section 13.591, subd. 3(b), the City is unable to release RFP information to the public at this time regarding the RFP responses other than the names of the responders. Once the City has completed negotiating a contract with the selected vendor, all data received by the City in response to the Refuse and Recycling Services RFP other than trade secret data will become public.
During the meeting, residents who wish to address the council on the RFP or any other topic will be able to do so during the open forum, but are asked to keep their comments to 3 minutes or less so all who wish to speak are able to do so.
