Solicitor "Season"

Some residents notice that solicitors become more prevalent at this time of year.  The City of Forest Lake permits solicitors to go door-to-door as long as they have registered with the City first.  The process is by application with the Deputy Clerk, and once approved, solicitors are issued a registration card that they should carry with them when out door knocking.  

As a resident, you should feel safe and protected in your community and the City of Forest Lake makes every effort possible to ensure that all solicitors have registered.  Be assured that once a solicitor is registered, the Police Department is notified.  If you feel there is a problem with solicitation in your neighborhood, you can contact the City at 651-209-9732 to verify that the solicitor has been registered with the Deputy Clerk.
