The Watering Ban put in place on July 26 has been lifted. It is estimated that over the course of the ban the city conversed approximately 75-100 million gallons of water, which is enough to fill 151 Olympic-sized swimming pools!
As we resume normal watering here in the city, we’d like to remind residents that the city has an ordinance in place requiring odd/even watering. This means that you can water on the odd-numbered days if you have an odd house number and on even-numbered days if you have an even house number. Additional information on the city’s watering ordinance can be found here: https://codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/forestlake/latest/forestlake_mn/0-0-0-25996
We would like to thank everyone who helped us achieve these incredible water resource savings!
