Certain licenses, such as Dog Licenses, Outdoor Entertainment Permits, and Temporary Banner Permits, are now able to be submitted online, making it easier to apply for the license you need. These can be found on the Resident Services page under 'Online Services'.
New Building and Zoning Applications
It is also now much easier to locate the Building and Zoning applications you need through their respective Department webpages. For Building, applications are even separated into Homeowners and Contractors. Each Zoning or Building permit also has information or instructional sheets with checklists to help you with all of the materials you need to provide with your application.
Citizen Request Tracker
The new Citizen Request Tracker allows you to report your concerns on a variety of topics. By clicking the ‘Report a Concern’ button, you will be taken to the specific forms you can submit regarding your issue, including Property Complaints, FixIT Forest Lake for street issues like potholes or water leaking on the roadway, Park Maintenance issues, Street Light Requests, and General Inquiries. Once you have submitted the location and details of the problem, you will receive an email confirmation that your issue has been received. If you also created a login and provided your email, you will also receive further updates as the issue is attended to.
Parks Facility Reservation Requests
You can also now submit reservation requests for City Parks Facilities. In the Facilities Module, find which Parks Facility you want to reserve. The page for the Facility will show its location, features (tables, etc.) as well as a picture of the Facility. Not all facilities on the list are reservable, if it is, it will say ‘Available for Reservations ‘on the right of the facility.
For items that are reservable, the cost to reserve will be on the Facility’s page, as well as a calendar where you can request reservations. Click on the date and time you wish to reserve the facility, and then ‘Check Availability and Continue.’ If it is available, you will be taken to a screen where you can fill out and submit your event details. Staff will then review the reservation and when the reservation is approved and payment is submitted, the reservation will be added to the calendar.
