[ARCHIVED] Planning Commission Public Hearing

Planning Commission

The City of Forest Lake Planning Commission will hold two public hearings on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., in Council Chambers located at Forest Lake City Center, 1408 Lake St. S., Forest Lake, MN 55025, to consider the following:

  • Conditional use permit (CUP) for the construction of a 1.03-mile loop of underground natural gas pipeline generally from the existing Hugo compressor station located on the south side of 180th Street just west of Manning Avenue to a new aboveground valve station to be located on the northeast corner of 180th Street and July Avenue North in Forest Lake.  The pipeline will be installed using horizontal directional drilling (HDD).   The City of Forest Lake requires a CUP for this project because the pipeline will cross a regulated floodplain.
  • Side-yard setback variance and a front-yard setback variance for the property located at 23850 Inwood Court North, Forest Lake Minnesota.  (PID 02-032-21-22-0007).  Specifically, the property owners are proposing to construct a new detached garage near the existing street cul-de-sac

Anyone who wishes to participate in public hearings or the Planning Commission Meeting is encouraged to come to the meeting located at the City Center.  If you are unable to attend the hearings but would like to provide input, you are encouraged to submit written comments to or the emails below.  You can also register to participate in an online Zoom format with our Zoom links.  Registration is required for participation online.
