This is an exciting time for Forest Lake Area Schools, as the larger construction work in the Reshaping Opportunities for Success project is getting underway, starting next week. The first big project at Forest Lake Area High School will require the school to limit access to its parking lots and doors to enter the high school during the summer months.
This project will begin on Monday, June 13, and will require visitors to the high school – including staff, students and their families – to enter through Door 9, which is at the south end of the building. The map below shows areas that will be under construction and therefore inaccessible to the public. Those areas are highlighted in yellow, beige and red color. The remaining areas – highlighted in blue, green and purple – are areas that will remain open.
The only access to the high school parking lots will be by way of Goodview Ave. at the north entrance to the large parking lot. Entering at that point and driving up the green-shaded area will allow for parking in the blue-shaded areas.
Anyone who wishes access to the high school building must enter through Door 9, which is very close to the green and blue shaded areas.
Overflow parking is also available at Century Junior High School in the area shaded in purple. We appreciate your patience as we plan around these important construction projects, which will mean amazing changes and improvements to our students’ learning environments and to the overall experience of everyone who utilizes our facilities.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools.
