As part of the ongoing process to prepare the 2040 Comprehensive Plan, the City is holding a series of Open Houses to gather additional input on individual Plan components.
The Comprehensive Plan Task Force, a 12-member committee appointed by City Council, met four times from May to November 2017 to develop a series of draft policies, goals and maps that focus on the primary elements of the Plan. Now we would like to hear more from residents, businesses and other community members on what the community envisions for the year 2040.
The Community Conversation schedule:
- January 30th – Land Use, Transportation
- February 13th – Housing, Community Facilities, and Water Resources
- February 20th – Parks and Trails
- February 27th – Economic Competitiveness
All meetings occur at 6-8pm at the City Center (1408 Lake Street South) in the upstairs Community Room. It will be an informal workshop format to get information and ask questions of City staff.
Prior to the meetings, draft materials (text & maps) will be available on the City website on the 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update page: http://www.ci.forest-lake.mn.us/253/2040-Comprehensive-Plan-Update
