The City of Forest Lake is moving forward with a major improvement project on Eureka Avenue from the western city limits to 11th Ave SW. Improvements include curb and gutter, a new pedestrian path, stormwater upgrades, shoreline restoration along Clear Lake, and a new fishing pier with five fishing stations.
The $4.5M project is funded through state bonding and partnerships with MnDNR Fisheries, Rice Creek Watershed District, and the City of Columbus.

Fall 2025 - Summer 2026: Prep work begins (road remains open)
Summer–Fall 2026: Road closed for major construction
July 2027: Final restoration complete
